No problem, steel stays,not weak. I use it on my 36 caliber colt,1851 and my Hawken 50 caliber.

Much better than the traditions one. Metal is harder and grips the nipples better.

The fit is outstanding.

T handle gives plenty of torque for dealing with rusted/ corroded old firearms. Long shaft gives plenty of clearance and better feel for those with larger hands, no scrapped knuckles as with short wrenches

A well made tool that works great. I have owned 3 other wrenches from another manufacturer and they failed. The only suggestion I have would be to add knurling to the top of the tool.

I recommend that you buy one of these urgently, as I previously tried using the Chinese wrench sold by Traditions and the only thing I can say about it is it's a big piece of SHIT.

Replaced the nipples on my Uberti 1860 Army with the SliXprings (Uberti size) stainless steel nipples. Bought this nipple wrench to get the job done. Fast, powerful, and easy to use. Had everything changed out in under 5 mins without any difficulty. I would highly recommend this tool for your shooting box.

This wrench is fantastic. You do not have to worry about this wrench deforming, but it also fits the nipples better than the cheap ones do even before they bend. NO slipping here. Worth every penny.

Thank you for making quality U.S.A. made tools and parts. The Slix wrench worked perfectly after I broke a cheap Italian wrench trying to remove the nipples from a used Pietta.

I installed Slixprings stainless steel nipples with choke tube lube and expect no more problems.

Stronger then well known brands and the longer stem is perfect for pushing out sticky shells.

I have 3 other nipple wrenches I have collected, one is generic one, and the other 2 I have are from Tradition and Connecticut Valley Arms, and none of them will fully seat over the nipples in the cylinder(s) of these guns, but Slix Wrench does great. Great product, I would buy again, and recommended it to all. Even works on my rifles.

This is the Best nipple wrench I have ever used! I even have one by a well known maker. This one is better and cost less. Works great on my Uberti Walker and Pietta 1858 Army.

I ordered both the SliX wrench and nipples for my Uberti 2nd Model Dragoon. The wrench removed the old nipples easily and installed the new SliX nipples. Wrench is well made and fits securely over the nipples when removing or installing them.

Can't seem to make it work on the ruger old army.

You are correct… this wrench will NOT work on the Ruger Old Army stock nipples. This is Clearly stated in the Description box on the product page. It will however work with our Slixshot replacement nipples for the Ruger.

This is THE BEST commercially available nipple wrench I have EVER come across!! (I've made some out of hardened-steel 1/4" drive sockets, but even THEY don't work as well as THIS does!) It is high-quality STEEL, so the corners that engage the nipple don't just BREAK OFF when you get a stubborn nipple that doesn't want to budge! NO MORE FLIMSY CHEAPO (cheapo ONLY in QUALITY, NOT price!) nipple wrenches for me!!
