Excellent quality with excellent results. After installing on my 1851 confederates had no cap jams or misfires. I will buy these again.

I have recently purchased several sets of nipples for my BP revolvers for upgrades to factory parts. All of your products are class A and improve the functioning of all installed.

Unfortunately I have not had a chance to use them at the range yet. What I can say is the design, fit in the cylinder, and quality of these Slixshot nipples are great.

Arrived on time the nipples for the Pietta and for the Uberti both fit perfectly! Can't wait to try them.

These nipples I purchased from you guys are so much better than the factory nipples and the caps never get bound up in the cylinder causing a jam. I use number 11 caps not number 10 caps the number 10s don't seem to fit properly as to the 1851 Colt Navy by piada but the number 11's fit perfectly nice and snug and a highly recommend this product! I actually ordered a second set of nipples as soon as I ordered my new revolver so that they both arrived at the same time. Well worth the price and save you a world of aggravation!

You are correct… CCI #10’s will NOT work but CCI #11’s will. If possible we recommend using Remington #10’s for best performance.

I installed Slixshot nipples in my Uberti 1849 pocket revolver after going through numerous replacements of the standard nipples. My gun now fires at 95 percent rate (up from about 20 percent) and the caps dont fly down into the action!! Thank you for making this possible!

Yes… Our standard Uberti Nipples will fit the 1849 Pocket and work somewhat ok. However we are in the process of designing new nipples to fit the 1849 specifically to work even better.

I first bought the nipples for my 1858 remington. They work so well I decided my griswold and gunnison needed some as well. I would buy from slixspring again.

Far superior to OEM nipples. Uniform flash holes and body, easily installed.

Only BP nipple to use IMO.

these are great nipples for revolvers. #10 percussion caps impossible to get so had to use #11. These were a little loose so I filed down the nipple tip a little to make a tighter fit and they worked fine after that.

I have used SLIXshot nipples on all my Black Powder revolvers and have never had Cap Jams. These nillpes work flawlessly.

I've had my PIETTA 1860 Army for about 10 years. It's been fun, but never very reliable. After installing these excellent SliXshot nipples, it's been 100% reliable. I'm having more fun than ever with it, and wish I would have bought these years ago.

Perfect fit and function for my Navys

I purchased a set after being disappointed with my otherwise perfect Uberti Remington. Ignition was spotty at best. Today I installed these new nipples and after 100 35gr powder loads fired without cleaning, ignition was 100% with zero caps falling off or failures to fire! I only stopped because I ran out of caps. I have owned and carried 1911’s that were less reliable. Fantastic product. Thank you!

I recently got involved with cap and ball shooting. Everyone, without fail, said to replace factory nipples with SliXshot. They were right.

Ignition every time, despite numerous rounds fired throughout a match.

Using 30 grains bp these will blow the cap right off or apart , not recommend if you use a big load ,

The intent purpose of our nipples is to split the cap to help keep it from flying back into the action.
We also recommend a lighter load. Heavier loads may require a stronger hammer spring.

Bought two sets for Pietta revolvers. On my 1860 army they worked to perfection. On my 1851 Navy (Dixie Gun Works/Pietta) they seem too long, Using Rem #10 caps, I have to really seat the caps hard with a dowel to get them to clear. This then resulted in chain fires on several occasions.Loading used wonder wads over the powder, so I am sure the chain fires were from the rear, Never had a chain fire on this gun with the original nipples.

Not all reproduction revolvers have the same manufacturing tolerances and this can be an issue with a few. The very simple solution is to file some metal off the forcing cone end and increase the gap between the barrel and cylinder and this problem will go away. Usually what works best is about .015” of gap. Your gun may need a tad more or less.

Fixed both my 1851 navy revolvers from sucking caps going to get some for 1858 Remington sheriff just because lol

The nipples are high quality and work perfect. i want to change my 12 gauge coach gun but the tool won’t fit because they are much longer nipples than the pistols😕. but i love the pistol nipples.
