The loading lever extension saves your hand and adds a level of safety to fully compress the load in the cylinder. It is very well made and adds to comfort and enjoyment.

Works as it should, much easier than the rammer attached to the gun, especially when your hands are greasy with lube.

As everyone who shoots black powder, you need to seat the ball or bullet tight and compress the powder. This tool adds enough extra leverage to the loading lever to properly seat the ball. Love it

This thing works great with several of my shorter barrel/shorter loading lever revolvers. It easily gives the extra leverage to firmly seat a ball in the chamber and is a lot better and more form fitting than some odd piece of plastic pipe or other alternate type handle extension.

This extended lever works wonderfully, it's professionally designed and manufactured. I was using a lenght of thick walled tubing. Now having purchased this I look more professional and have the added features of this tool

I have short barreled 1858's the loading rod was basically useless, this solved the issue and is easier and more comfortable to use then even a full-sized lever is.

I have installed them on both of my Pietta 1860 Army replicas but haven’t had time to shoot them. They installed without issue using the nipple wrench that I purchased from Slix Springs as well. I will tender a new review when I actually fire them. The service from Slix Springs was exemplary.

I am 73 years old and have been shooting cap and ball revolvers along with many other types of black powder firearms since I was 17. I bought a slix hand tool to help with those short barreled five and six shooters that come with a corresponding short loading lever. That tool makes loading a cinch. If you have a gun that the caps cause cap jams when firing, then the slix shot nipples are the solution. Don't go into battle without them.

I have a Remington-Beals Army (1958 Remington Army) “sheriffs” model with a short loading leaver. This tool makes loading much more comfortable and easier. The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s perception machined and fits just right.

Slix - Hand is a must have if you're shooting the shorter barrel versions of the 1851, 1860, and 1858 Percussion pistols. Without Slixhand, you have no leverage to ram the balls into the cylinder and if you try, you'll find yourself gouging your palm. SlixHand is a simple extender for the loading ramp and works beautifully. Simple and worth having.

it's a 'necessity' as ramming lever on my Sheriff is just is too short. Oh, it works but this makes whole loading process immensely easier/ comfortable/smooth.

I've had a Uberti 5 inch barrel 51 Navy for years. I recently bought a Capt. Schaeffer reproduction 51 Navy with 4 inch barrel. Since both guns have extremely short loading levers the slix hand tool is perfect for making loading much easier with no hand pain.

Bought this loading lever extension to make loading 1849 Pocket Revolver easier. Gives a nice long, beefier lever that slips over the slim and stubby loading lever of the 1849 to give you better leverage and ergonomics. If you have small revolvers or just want to make loading easier, get one of these to put in your kit.
