Vast improvement in preventing nipple jams!

These nipples really help reduce cap jams, really satisfied

I regret to say that these made cap jams even worse, jamming the revolver after every shot.

With the factory nipples I could at least get 3 or 4 shots before cap sucking and jamming occurred.

Perfect fit for my revovlers.

A great product. I now just routinely install slix shot nipples on all my black powder revolvers.

The new cones fit perfectly. I have not been to the range to try out; however, fitting the cones and firing them to clean the cylinder prior to powder charge worked fine. Gary

Nipples (cones) work to eliminate cap jams and does just that. Fits cylinder perfectly with no problems getting them in and out for cleaning. I’ve found both Remington 10s and CCI 11 caps both fit well. If your revolver is experiencing cap jams, a set of these nipples will most likely eliminate the problem.

I own 10 black powder cap and ball revolvers. One of the first things I do with every gun I purchase is replace the nipples with slixshot nipples! They make all the difference in the world for relaiable shooting!

I have purchased many slixspring products and have recommended these to several of my friends. The quality in these products is great and I appreciated that. I have incorporated them in several of my guns or used them as shooting accessories.

I was directed to your company by a fellow gun club member/shooting buddy who was very happy with his 1873 rifle (wide & rounded) trigger. I quickly ordered two for my two ‘73s, I am also very happy with them; they are a real shooting finger saver.

I found that ordering on line was simple and shipping was fast.

I will say that your nipple wrench will not fit the original nipples on my 1860 Colt Army Pietta revolver. But, you did not claim it would, only some reproduction revolvers. I have many other guns that I will use it on.

In summary, I have nothing but praise for your company, your people and the products you sell. I will continue purchasing your products and recommending them to my shooting buddies. I look forward to any new products you will be offering in the future. Keep up the good work.

When using the 1075 plus percussion cap I have found that they do not fire on the first revolution of the cylinder on my uberti 1858 remington and pietta 1860 colt On the second strike they fire. Am currently sanding down the taper so that the caps fit. The nipples themselfs are well made but please do not advertise that they fit 1075. This may be due of course to variations in cap production. Have tried various methods to seat the caps but the only way forwards in my situation is to reduce the outside diameter of the nipple by .008 thousands. Will I buy slixspring again? they work excellently in stopping cylinder jams just can't give 5 gold stars.

RWS 1075 Plus caps are compatible with SliXshot nipples and are the caps we regularly use ourselves. Many of our customers also use this combination successfully. If there were an inherent compatibility problem between SliXshot nipples and RWS 1075 Plus caps, we would expect to receive a significant number of similar complaints. That has not been our experience.

When a cap fires on the second hammer strike, it commonly indicates that the first strike is seating the cap farther onto the nipple rather than igniting it. The cap must be pressed firmly and completely onto the nipple before firing. A lightened or weakened hammer spring can also cause this behavior by not providing sufficient force for reliable ignition.

Some variation between cap production lots is possible, but the caps should fit without requiring the nipple taper to be reduced. We recommend checking cap seating and hammer-spring tension before removing material from the nipples. Reducing the diameter by .008" is a substantial alteration that could result in loose-fitting caps or affect their retention.

Every time I get a new percussion revolver. I just automatically order slixpring cones. They really fit number 10 caps very well. Also, the SLIXPRING nipple wrench is a solid wrench. I have two , love them both.

These work great. Best ones I've found. I will bee using these on all of my percussion guns.

These are brand new guns. I bought your products because of your reputation. Right now in Vegas it is 100+°. I will shoot when it cools down a bit. I want to shoot the original nipples to see how they do,for laughs! YOUR nipples have anti seize on them and the first hiccup I will install them. I will keep you posted.

“Great nipples” a phrase that might get you slapped in most settings, a new friend for the evening in palm beach on spring break, or really happy shooters in this case. These nipples solved several problems I was having. Variously misfires requiring second strike, having to pinch caps to keep em on and cap jams on pocket pistols. As I post this, I’m also ordering on other set for pocket police .36 cal. They’re that good !!

Zero misfires so far, whereas my original Uberti nipples were terrible with the Remington #10
