This scraper is well made however, apparently the cylinders on a 454 Casull are too tight for this scraper. I could only insert the scraper 1/3 the way into the cylinders when it binded up. I usually shoot 45 long colt loads through this gun.

As clearly stated on the product label the 45 Colt Scraper is designed for the 45 Colt Only. It would do you no good to use it on the 454 as the 45 scraper is not long enough to reach the throats of the 454 cylinder. The reason it hung up is because you have buildup in the cylinder from shooting the shorter 45 Colt rounds. What you need is our 460 Magnum Scraper which is longer and can reach the throats on the 454.

I purchased one for the .327 H&R Mag and as stated above it only went about halfway into the chamber of my Freedom Arms revolver. The tolerances on these revolver chambers are very strict. When Slixprings rollmarked "Slix 32" on the scraper the raised edges made the diameter to large to fit the cylinder chambers. A little file work on the scraper and all is good.

Works as advertised. Would help if user instructions came with.

Takes out carbon rings with ease

First job I used this for was cleaning out deposits in front of the chamber shoulders of a 1906 Colt Officer's Model .38 Special. Had just gotten it, and it was hard getting some cartridges all the way into two of the chambers. Fixed the problem instantly.

I actually haven't used it yet on a .357, but I have used to clean lead and carbon buildup in front of the shoulders of a .38 Special. A couple of turns and the job is done. Highly recommend.

I told my wife that I needed to invent a tool to clean the chambers in my revolver, since brass brushes aren't adequate. Then I thought, "I wonder if someone already has?" And sure enough, Slixprings has. Shooting .38 specials can leave a build-up that makes it difficult to chamber and eject .357. This scraper is simple and easy to use, and solved my problem perfectly.

Since the 1970's, I have looked all over for tools like these for guys who shoot "Special-length" ammo in "Magnum-length" chambers.
I even built a tool similar to this when I worked in a machine shop.
But your tools are much better than mine.
These are super for CAS folks who shoot literally hundreds of short cartridges in their six-guns and lever-guns.

I used this on an old colt I been shooting for years. I’ve fired about 3000 rounds through it and the scraper cleaned the residue in seconds. Worth it for any revolver.

I like to shoot both 38 and 357 from my revolvers and this tool does a great job of quick cleanup. I use the screwdriver method...

Very easy to use, cleaned out the cylinder on my revolver very quickly. Must have item if you shoot 38 special in a .357 mag.

Due to the very high price of .357 ammo lately I find myself shooting much more .38 Special in my magnum revolvers. This product cleans out the burn residue in the chambers with ease. So much quicker than conventional cleaning methods!

EXCELLENT CHAMBER CRAP CLEANERS FOR SIX-GUNS AND RIFLES.

I have a pair of each chamber size (in .38, .44, .45 calibers) for our CAS revolvers and rifles.
They do a super job of clean up of the hard debris left from firing short rounds used in long chambers
I even modified some on the head ends with threads for driver handles.
I recommend them!

Great unit. A few turns and chambers are back to accepting 357 like new.

I had Pacific Tool and Die make me a carbon scraper which cost three times as much because it wasn’t something they usually made. The slixpring carbon scraper works great and is small enough to use on a ‘73 with out taking it down.

Bought one in 38/357 as that is caliber that causes me most problems. This beats the devil out of using a 357 case with excess bell to get the crud out. Seems to get out over 90% of any carbon buildup in a few seconds.

I had buildup in my respective cylinder chambers from buildup caused by shooting .38 spl and .44 spl. The reamers worked well in removing built up carbon deposits.
