They are a fine product.

After spending countless hours fiddling with every other spring and part of my '73 in a vain attempt to rid it of that hump in the middle of the lever stroke, I installed SliXprings Lever Spring and that did the trick! Smoothed out the stroke, can race gun it sin problemas! I've ordered two of these, one as a backup, so I'll never be without.

I'd give this product 10 stars if it were allowed. After spending countless hours trying to take that 'hump' out of the lever stroke, adjusting everything I could, including Dremeling the standard leaf-style lever lifter springs, found out all I had to do was install this product and now the lever moves as smoothly with the hammer down as with the hammer cocked. Yeee-haaaaaa!

I have a hair trigger on my Uberti 73 now. ;)

I am no gunsmith but I have tried several brands of lever springs. These are the easiest to install and tune. SliXsprings are the only ones I will use or recommend, period!

Apparently the instructions were not followed that was sent with the parts. This is NOT a drop in part and will require custom fitting as clearly stated on the website and in the instructions. If the springs are not strong enough as the reviewer states then we would have tons of complaints, of which we don’t. We sell lots of these springs to gunsmiths also and never had an issue of them being not strong enough.

I have accumulated 5 Uberti 73s over 26 years. 4 have SliXprings lever springs. Two were put in when the stock ones broke. The other were put in by the gunsmiths who built them. The last set installed were pure drop in, no bending or grinding. Adjust with the screws to taste. They don't wear out or get out of adjustment. They're the only ones I buy.

Do to variances in the rifle manufacturing… some tuning is required. Excerpt from the installation instructions. #5 Tighten the screw until you get the desired pressure, being ever aware of the position of the spring tab on the cam. If proper location is NOT apparent when smooth proper pressure is achieved, bend the tab to the best location.

Excellent product so far. I like the fact that they are a little oversized on the block and the spring length so that they can be tuned exactly to each action. It did not take long with a mill file and 600 grit sand paper to fit them to my 1873 in .44-40. The action feels great!

Fit and finish was excellent with nothing left to keep the fit from being nice and tight. Time will tell if the use of locktight will keep the screw placement as I backed off a bit to gentle out the cycling of the action.

Worked really well in my 73. I had another brand, but these were smoother.

I ordered, a set of special springs with my short stroke kit. Like the Uberti springs it just wasn't where I wanted to be. One too stiff the other not enough. The SlixSprings set was easy to install and could be adjusted just by bending the spring. On the carrier side I am getting that carrier pop that I wanted. SlixSprings from now on.

Broke a Uberti Lever Spring, & my gunsmith told me to get Slixprings lever springs. They are excellent!

I had SliXprings, installed in my rifle several years ago. I immediately noticed improvement in the action. When a friend began to have problems with his rifle, I agreed to look at his rifle. I noticed several problems one of which was the lever springs, I ordered SliXprings and installed them in my friends rifle. I was very happy, but my friend was extremely happy. I recommend SliXprings to anyone interested in improving the operation of their rifle.

Just put a set in a new back up 73 with short stroke. Have been running them for years now with zero issues.

Slixprings are outstanding, been using them for at least 10 years in my shop.

Easy install of the lever springs. Made the action feel smooth and operate flawlessly. Only issue was a slight interference between spring on the lever side and the linkage. Fixed it easily. Looking forward to years of smooth action.

These springs were an easy replacement for the truck springs that come in your Uberti.
A small amount of fitting was needed on the carrier spring to not interfere with the side gate, and to increase the spring tension.
I’m very pleased with the results.

My SliXprings required some hand-fitting, as is noted in the instructions. I had to file down the spring ends by maybe .5mm and rounded them off a bit. When I had them installed I realized the carrier arm on my 1873 was binding on the width of the spring base. I also needed to file that down a bit to allow the arm to properly slide into the down position. Upon disassembly I have had to re-file the spring bases again to allow for the arm to move properly. It may take multiple times before everything moves properly. Once you have the springs filed to where they need to be they are fantastic! Highly recommended, as long as you know what you are doing.

Got the Slix springs in the mail the other day, shipping was 3 days , I took my '73 apart and followed the directions
that came in the package, they replaced the other aftermarket springs that were getting weak. Made a marked improvement in the way the rifle worked. I would recommend these, easy to install.
