I recently purchased these for my uberti 1861 navy to help with cap jam's they have greatly reduced the amount of them they are easy to replace and work well

I now have installed them on all of my cap and ball revolvers. Not only do they make cap jams much less likely, they increase the options for percussion caps without having to “pinch” them.

I purchased these to replace the factory nipples on my Uberti 1860 Colt Army, and they are a major upgrade. Very snug fit with CCI #11 magnum caps. These provided reliable ignition and solved the issue I had with caps backing off the factory nipples under recoil.

They have great reviews on these , so I bought two sets … with these I have not had any caps stick…
and that makes life easy…

Fantastic product. The only problem I had with them was operator error. The stock nipples took #10 caps. First time at the range and nothing was going well. If I had read the instructions clearly I wouldn't have had a problem. Got some #11 and it was smooth sailing. At least as smooth as cap and ball can be!

Fixed the cap jam issues and cap seating issues I was having with the factory nipples. Very positive cap fit, very positive ignition. Absolutely love them, they'll be going on any revolver I get in the future, as well!

Now my #11 caps stay on my nipples. Cause as everyone knows #10 are so hard to find. Very satisfied would recommend these nipples

They appear to be precision made and of very high quality. And they have been very effective in eliminating jams due to fired caps. The difference in performance is dramatic. With the SliXshot nipples, so far no jams or problems.

Percussion caps stay on nipples

If you're not new to the world of cap and ball revolvers you already know these are some of the best nipples you can buy. I use CCI #11 caps because that's the only thing available in this day and age. These nipples grip the cap well. They will never fall off and the venting design helps eliminate the rebounding hammer making cap jams less of an issue. I have a set on all my guns.

These worked perfectly on my pietta 1857 replica revolver. If you have this revolver do not hesitate these nipples are quality and they work.

I had a few problems with cap jams. The caps were getting stuck in the slot below the hammer sight. I got on YouTube and observed how to hopefully solve this problem by relieving the sharp corners on that slot. Used a small stone to smooth out the sharp edges. With the freezing temperatures of the last month here in Michigan I haven’t been able to get to the range to try it out yet.

I shot 200 rounds total out of 4 different Colt Revolvers last week. Each revolver had Slix nipples installed and I had one cap jam for the 200 rounds. That’s what I call a game changer!

I installed these on an Uberti 1858 carbine. The factory nipples wouldn't fit a Rem#10 cap, and the CCI#11's would fall off with recoil (dangerous!)

My go-to replacements are Slix. These are beautiful and turned my 1858 into a real shooter. They also helped reduce the cap splash that the revolving carbines are known for. Do yourself a favor an get a Slix nipple wrench as well.
