Am new to the world of black powder shooting, and wanted to start off with what I hoped would be a high quality product. They are indeed that, and more. Well-made and sturdy, I anticipate many years ahead of use. Everyone should use these products!

Very glad I got these for my 1851 Colt Navy. Smooth.

I purchased a set for my pietta 1851 Navy because the originals were not properly sized and because the original nipples would cap jam on almost every other shot.

The slicks shot fit CCI number 11's and Remington number 10s perfectly which are the two most common caps that I can find in my area you can use CCI number 10s but they are pretty tight and we'll have to push them down with a popsicle stick for a dowel.

As far as cap jams go their are far far fewer it's been narrowed down to just the occasional cap chunk falling behind the hammer

Overall good product however, what made this a 4 instead of a 5 was the threading. The threads didn't match up to the Remington 1858 so they stripped the threads on the cylinder. The 1858 threads are closer together and a bit wider and deeper than they are on the SliXshots. The threads need to match, especially if one needs to clean the gun often and remove the nipples frequently.

This has never been an issue as the threads are machined to spec’s on CNC machines. Not quite sure why you had an issue unless you had an older model with odd threads. Maybe yours had 1/4 x 32 threads which are very close to the metric 6mm x .75mm.

Great product. This is the second set I’ve ordered for my BP revolvers.

The nipples work 10x better than the factory ones on my Uberti 1860. Cap jams and misfires have fell to almost 0 and every cap has been split perfectly down the sides. Easy install as well.

I purchased this product for my Peitta 1851 Navy Revolver. Prior to installation I had the typical cap jam issue and poor ignition, often needing the hammer to strike the cap a second time for the revolver to fire. After installation my revolver fires every time without fail. I still have the occasional cap jam, but I believe at this point it is due to the notch in the hammer or the safety pins on the cylinder. Still, I fired 6 cylinders with these installed and with the factory nipples installed. With the factory nipples I had 12 cap jams and had to stop to address the issue, twice I needed to disassemble the revolver to address the issue. With this product I had one single cap jam. Personally, I believe these results and this product speak for themselves.

One of the best purchases I've made online. Customer support during the sales is unequal and I have yet to experience a cylinder jam due to a loose cap since installing the SlixSprings Nipples. Excellent product.

All in, I like the nipples as they seat a CCI #11 rather well. The only issue I had was they stuck up a tad too tall to actually fit caps on them with my traditions 1851 colt navy. I filed a little of the capping divot out more, and now I can actually install caps. If I hadn’t had to take a file to my pistol I’d have given it five stars, but overall it’s a rather good product.

I needed nipples for my walker. Now I can use #11 and they fit great

Would not use anything else.

Just be careful dry firing and you'll be fine

Do NOT, and to repeat, Do NOT, EVER, dry fire a cap and ball revolver.

Highest quality I've found for the Ruger Old Army. CCI 11 caps fit better on these than any others I've tried.

Big improvement over the factory nipples on my Remington 1858 New Model Army reproduction. Well worth the money.

I bought these for my .36 cal Navy revolver. Its a nice upgrade over the stock nipples. I have a lot of size 11 caps so it's nice to only have to worry about buying one size. I have two other sets I bought from another website that are on two of my .44 cal revolvers. Great product.

No more loose or ill fitting caps. No more cap jams. #11 remington and #11 cci are a great fit

We recommend NOT using Remington #11 caps as they are a tad shorter and may not cover the side vent holes completely. This could cause as chain fire.

It seems that CCI # 11 and # 11 magnums are more available than the Remington # 10’s
Both CCI # 11’s work perfectly with your nipples
