The first thing I upgraded for my 1851 yank snub nosed revolver was Slix Shot nipples, and that was done before I even
shot it for the first time. No cap jams and every cap fired. Now the carbine I did fire, but I shot it with stock nipples. The caps just fell off and some were misfires. Well guess what I did. I sent for Slix Shot's. I have confidence now that won't happen again. These nipples have a LARGE opening and the proper tiny hole to the powder. They won't let you down.

I thought for a long time about upgrading to slick shot nipples. Finally, I did it. Glad I did. So stop thinking and just buy them!

I had always heard about these nipples but never had the opportunity to use them. I decided to purchase a set and wow I should have bought them years ago. They are a must have if you shoot cap and ball revolvers. They will change everything for the better.

These nipples fit the #11 CCI’s which is all I can find. I suppose Remington #10’s are no longer produced. So these work 100%.
Now to afford another set or two.

These performed better than I expected. Very high quality construction and the CCI 11 caps fit snuggly and did not fall off. Very impressed and will buy more for every C&B revolver I purchase. Worth every penny.

I have outfitted 4 of my BP pistols with these. And will continue to do so. They are tough, with a thicker washer section, and stainless steel. I like the larger internal cone diameter at the top, along with the smaller diameter hole at the bottom. The SlixSpring nipple wrench fits them perfectly.

I have not yet tried the Amp/Tresso style, so I have no experience with them.

Well worth the money for reliable, consistent ignition and significant reduction of cap jams in the revolver. You MUST however, use the correct size cap as specified in the instructions.

Nipples work great! Outstanding customer service! I have several of my black powder guns using their nipples. Won’t hesitate for a second if I need more of their products!

I have slixshot nipples on all my cap 'n ball revolvers except one, and those nipples are a knock-off of slixshot. I guess you should copy the best, if that's your game! They look good and function perfectly. Das ist der Hammer (That really rocks).

Slixprings are the best. With RWS1075 caps I have VERY few issues.

The reputation is earned. Nice modern stainless nipples. Haven't tried them with all cap combos but they work great with CCI #11s, fits tight but will still blow all the caps right off the nipples and out of the action via the side holes. Neat feature, good aid to reliability.

I put them on all my cap & ball pistols. I now enjoy 100% ignition with SlixShots Cones. I also can't say enough about the Slixwrench & Slixhand. They make my shooting reliable & fun. Been using CCI # 11 & RWS 1075. Caps don't fall off & rarely need to be doweled on for seating. Excellent Product!

work great with my Uberti New Model Army.

I use SliXshot nipples in all of my competition percussion revolvers. Using the correct mainspring and powder loads, as well as filling in the notch in the hammer (and not loading more than five chambers thus ensuring proper safety), these nipples force the caps to split outwards helping to prevent them from dropping into the action.

This is my 3rd set of nipples and I find them to be very well made and fit perfectly. After setting caps on firmly, you can trust that the gun fires every time. Being stainless steel, they clean up easily.

My pistols are noticeably more reliable on first time primer strikes.

This product works as advertised and I will place additional orders as I purchase spare cylinders for my pistols. Absolutely recommend to others who use ball and cap pistols.

I never do reviews, but, these Slixshot nipples are awesome. Before these, with the original nipples that came with my Uberti 36 cal 1851 Navy, I had a frustrating time with misfires as well as stuck caps. Now, those problems are distant memories. Any revolver I buy will have these.

My wife suggested these, mind you she doesn't shoot black powder. I was wondering what the little hole was, installed them on my pistol and wow, where have these been all my life. They cleaned up easily too.

These replacement nipples for both Uberti and Pietta cap & ball revolvers not only work as advertised, but better.

These Slixshot nipples are far superior to the standard steel nipples that come stock with replica c&b revolvers.
