I just tested my 1851 navy 36 caliber
Yesterday and the gun shot great,with
the Slix Shot nipples.I've owned this
Pistol for 45 years and always had the occasional percussion cap fall into the action.The new nipples greatly reduced this and are worth every cent.

I have many black power guns and found that these SliXshot black power nipples are the best. I don't miss fire and they are easy to clean.

These nipples look and function a great deal better than what came with my uberti pistols. I have better cap fitment, improved cap firing reliability, and greatly reduced cap jams on my pair of Colt 1860 Army revolvers. I also purchased the nipple wrench, a very nice piece. My new 1860 Ulberti 1860 colt suffered from frequent cap jams. The Slixshot nipple totally cured the problem. I fired 100 rounds without one jam. I’m so happy with the product I plan on replacing the nipples on an 1851 even though that rarely jams.

These nipples make my Pietta 1860 reliable in a way the factory nipples never could. No more misfires due to poor seating, and no cap jams yet either. Easy to install with a good nipple wrench and they look good too. I'm impressed.

My new Pietta 1858 Remington replica functioned flawlessly with these nipples. Out of ~90ish consecutive rounds using Remington #10 caps, Hornady .454 round balls, lube or wads, and powder charges ranging from ~20 grains of Pyrodex P to ~35 of Triple Se7en FFFg (a load not to be repeated!), not one cap jammed or failed to fire using the SliXshot nipples. I ordered another set for the spare cylinder!

These stainless steel nipples are the best I have ever used. Reliable ignition every time and nearly no cap jams...great product!

The nipples fit #10 caps perfectly, however #10 caps are impossible to find now. #11 caps still cause cap jams. I believe the jams will cease as #10 caps become available.

CCI #11 and Winchester #11 caps work perfectly fine unless you are using some old version of them.

These nipples stopped the cap jams I was getting. I'll put them on my next BP no matter what ever it is.

I am 100 percent satisfied with the slixs black powder nipples they worked fantastic with my pietta 1851 navy revolver I shot about 40 rounds without a jam or problem of any kind. Every cap and ball revolver I purchase will automatically get a set of slixprings nipples before they are fired for the first time!

My Uberti reproduction Colt Dragoon shipped with nipples too large for #11 caps (CCi or Remington). Seeing that caps are almost impossible to find right now (let alone #12 size), I just bought these nipples and now #11 “magnum” caps work like a charm.
