I replace stock nipples with these every time i get new revolver. Dont even bother with stock nipples.
These work very well and reliablely.
No cap jams.ingnition every time.
Also this outfit sent me a new modifide slixhand leaver.
Modifide to fit 1849 pocket.
Works really well.

Purchased these for my Cimarron Walker Civilian, and a Cimarron Remington New Model Army. Removing and replacing was simple as could be. Did have a problem with number 10 CCI percussion caps not fitting. However the Remington's fit like a glove! These work very well, and have not had a cap jam since installation.

As clearly stated on the packaging, website and FAQ section on our website we list the recommended caps to use with our nipples. CCI #10’s are NOT on that list and will NOT work as their inside diameter is too small. The recommended caps will work great as you figured out. Thanks for the review and business.

These cones are very slightly oversized but that leaves room to custom fit them to the pistol. Both in length and diameter. Now caps fit perfectly and length is just right. A little time consuming but it is a hobby.

I have 6 cap & ball revolvers made by Uberti or Pietta. All are tuned for SASS competition and include Slixshot nipples for reliability. Not one misfire in two years using Slixshot nipples with Remington #10 caps on a pair of Pietta 1860 Armys. So far I’m getting the same results with a pair of one month old Uberti 1861 navy’s and Slixshot nipples. No misfires at all.

I own six revolvers. Over tome each (with the exception of the 1858 Remington) has been outfitted with slix shot nipples. I started out with the worst offender for cap jams, a .36 1851 DP made in 1985. I was so impressed I bought a set for each gun over time.

I have these nipples for my Colt 1851 Navy 2nd Generation Colt Re-Issue and my Uberti 1851 Navy replica (same thread for both). Both sets arrived quickly and work perfectly.

I have replaced the nipples on three of my guns with SliXshots, I absolutely love the fit and function. So much more reliable. Worth every penny!

Fit in perfect to Uberti 1861 Navy revolver. Haven’t gone shooting yet, but huge improvement over stock nipples.

You get what you pay for.-the manufacturing, materials, and design of the cones are superior to the “stock” ones you get with your replica revolver. And they really do seem to fit and function better as advertised. I suppose one could try to “modify” the originals or go with a cheaper brand, but these solve the problem right out of the box. Precise tolerances and consistency matter…

These cones are well made. Fits Uberti revolvers well. Easy to install. Creates dependable ignition. Gun goes BOOM every time. 2 thumbs up!

I use only stainless nipples and I recommend them to all new black powder shooters. slixsprings always has what I need in stock.

I've made multiple purchases the past few months and every transaction have been smooth. These will resolve a lot of the "cap sucking" you'll experience with the stock nipples on Uberti and Pietta revolvers.

This is the 1st thing I purchase with any new BP gun. Not cheap, but worth the value. Longer lasting, help to split the cap correctly for removal, taller shoulder for easier removal for cleaning, well made.

I am happy I found slix nipples, they are a necessity when you want reliability in your revolver, the nipples fit the caps way better the holes are good and they are stainless way easier to clean! I am very impressed with the slix shot percussion cones. I have been shooting black powder for 30 years and i have not seen a better cone than the ones made by slixshot. The quality is excellent, the price is very reasonable, and the cones have nearly eliminated all cap jams. I refuse to use any other cone than the ones made by slixshot.

Your new nipples fit into my Ruger Old Army, stainless, easily. CCI #11, mag, percussion caps fit perfectly and seat easily with just finger pressure and spent caps don't seem to stick, either. I couldn't be happier. Now, if you'd just make the components more available and cheaper, all would be well!

I haven’t got to use the guns yet, but the caps are night and day tighter on them. Looking forward to busting a few caps on them.
