The slixshot nipples just about eliminated cap jams. They are well made too.

these are the best nipples all around, i wouldn't normally change my blackpowder handgun nipples to stainless steel, but after finding out about slixshot nipples i have changed over to them. i don't have the problems that i kept having with them, no more misfires or jams.

First, order service was fast and ordrr arrived quickly. The cones/nipples fit my Uberti perfectlyand are well made. Easy install. These cones essentially eliminated cap blowback and jamming.

It stopped 99.9% of my cap jams I really highly recommend switching to these nipples.

The items are of high quality. However I was unable to use them because they did not fit my gun. Totally my fault, not Slixshot.

The factory nipples led to a cap jam nearly every shot because of blowback. These slix shot nipples solved it…completely! Fired 40 rounds with new nipples and had zero blow back cap jams. Thanks!

Unhappy with the performance of my Uberti 1862 Pocket Police revolver I ordered a set of the Slixsprings nipples. They didn't fix the problem either. What I found out from Slixsprings is that some of the Pocket Police are very close toleranced which is the case with mine. A replacement of "short" nipples has fixed the problem. As a matter of fact the factory nipples were too long also which bound up the cylinder with caps on & was very hard to rotate. I just didn't realize the problem from the start. Very happy now.

This is a follow up review from 8-11-2023. We sent our customer a shorter set of nipples. Glad to hear this fixed the problem.

Not impressed. Factory nipples worked as good. Both sets were too tall causing cylinder to drag. Had to file nipples down to clear the recoil shield when rotating cylinder. Still had cap jams but a little better

We contacted the customer and informed him that if BOTH the factory and our nipples are too long then it’s the gun manufactures fault not ours. In the mean time we sent him a set of shorter nipples just for this application. This is very rare but it does happen.

I routinely change out the factory nipples on any percussion gun that I intend on keeping. Slix Shot nipples are the best I have ever used. They pretty much end any cap sucking problems I have had. Great piece of gear. Can't go wrong.

They sure are pretty, but did not help with cap jams. Thanks anyway for taking my $32.00.

We would never sell/offer a product that didn’t work. 4.9 Stars out of 5 says it all. You either were not using the recommended caps, too high a powder charge or your revolver needs to be tuned better. We personally use them on our 1862 Uberti Pocket with no problems at all. Just look at the reviews our customers have left.

After 50 rounds not one cap jam or misfire. A high quality product that provides an elegant solution for a known problem.

Purchased for a new 1862 Police Model. As always, the nipples are flawless and fit perfect. Was experiencing cap sucking at a rate of 2 to 4 times per cylinder. Now reduced to 1 or 2 per 50 rounds fired. I’ll take that all day long when compared to the problem with the stock nipples. Great product, fantastic service and shipping.

My Uberti 1849 Pocket .31 was by far my most unreliable cap and ball revolver. Each cylinder had at least 2 failures to fire with the factory nipples - and when it did fire, cap jams were a near constant issue. Slixprings nipples have changed that completely - my Pocket .31 is now as reliable as my other Remington and Colt repros that have the Slix nipples installed. A 100% improvement in reliability.

These nipples fit my uberti pocket pistols perfectly. I haven't tried them yet but I have a set on my 1851 navy and they do a great job helping prevent cap jams. I couldn't be more pleased with them.

They fit my 1849 pocket pistol very well. I have these type nipples in my 1851 Navies and they work great.
