The first thing I do after purchasing a cap and ball revolver is to replace the standard nipples with Slixshot nipples. It makes the gun much more reliable.

I have SliXshot nipples installed on all my black powder revolvers and have never had a cap jam. The Slix Wrench makes loading really easy.

Great product. As #10 caps are harder to find than an honest politician, being able to use #11 caps is a huge bonus as they are somewhat easier to find.

Bought these because the stock nipples on my revolver were for number 10 caps, which proved hard to find in my area and based on some measurements I saw somewhere online may not have fit tightly anyway. These made the number 11 caps I had on hand fit nice and tight, no issues with dropping lose caps after install. Speaking of install the SliX Wrench made it a lot quicker and easier than I expected, though that might be in part because I could remove the cylinder without much effort on an 1858 model.

Performed as expected. I will purchase more for my other revolvers.

These nipples are amazing. I haven't had a cap jam or a failure to fire since getting them. I'm going to get them for all of my revolvers now.

I haven't had a misfire since installing these. They've exceeded my expectations.

Put these on my Pietta 1851. They take #11 caps, as described. I shot about 50 rounds with them and they worked flawlessly.

Bought for my Uberti colt 1860 army. These greatly improved the reliability and consistency of every shot over the stock nipples. No misfires, less cap jams (Let’s face it if you got a Colt, cap jams will happen). They look great and definitely improved the performance of my Colt.

I was expirinceing a lot of cap jams with my Walker, Dragoon, 1861 Army and both 1851 Navies. I know cap jams come
with shooting BP revolvers, but I think
they can be kept to a minimum. So I tried Slixshot nipples on my Walker, after firing and rotating the cylinder the spent caps just fell off. Now all my
BP revolvers have Slixshot nipples. They
make shooting BP much more fun.

I placed a phone order for slixshot nipples for my Colts 1851. He was very helpful ordering the correct nipples for my pistol. The order came in a timely fashion. I installed the nipples and very satisfied with the performance.

The stainless construction is a huge improvement. Fit and finish are peftect for my Uberti 1860 New Army.
