Got a set for my 1851 Navy Colt. They work great!

I want to say the nipples are a godsend. They are great and they are very good for preventing cap jams especially for colts.

I have a Lyman 1858 Navy purchased in 1971 or 1972 (lost the receipt), and the nipples needed replaced due to wear, and the fact that they were too small for RWS1075, and #11 caps. The barrel has a Uberti logo on the barrel. I ordered the set recommended for MOST Uberti (12/28 thread), but they did not fit. I contacted Slixprings, and got a response asking me to send the set back, along with one of the originals, and Patrick would try to match it. I mailed them back, and shortly thereafter received a set that did indeed fit, and worked very well, along with my original. I can't over emphasize the high level of service provided by Slixprings, and the quality of their product.

I’ve been shooting black powder revolvers for 45 years, and have never found a better product to keep your revolver running. The gas release hole in the nipple prevents cap jams, which is essential. Also, the steel used to produce these nipples far out classes the soft steel used by Italian made guns.

Amazing product. Every trigger pull puts projectile down range.

I have been shooting cap & ball revolvers for close to 40 years. The one problem I couldn’t fix was spent caps locking up the cylinder rotation. When I read about SliXprings in an American Handgunner article, I ordered a set. A trip to the range proved I had made a good investment.

Got the set for the LeMat, they work great. No issues with misfire or chain fire.

Seem to have a better result with slixshot and Sharpshooter made caps then with the stock nipples.

Haven’t had any caps fall into the action since the nipples were installed. I’ve had 3 caps in over 100 rounds that got between the cylinder and receiver.

New to black powder handguns.In cleaning the Pietta 1851 Colt Navy I bought used,the nippples were looking kind of bad. On the recommendation of John Taffin I bought replacement nipples from SLiX.

I had problems with my ROAs going off until I installed these nipples. No more issues

Customer service was great & received product quickly. Haven’t had a chance to shoot the gun yet but installation was easy & the caps fit the nipples well.

Quality: tolerances are tight, finish is excellent, perfect fit for #11 cap. What I like best is that a cap goes right on without a crimp and stays on. I've shot about 200 rounds since getting them and never had a misfire or had a cap fall off. Also they shed spent caps way better than the stock nipples. I've recommended these to my fellow black powder shooters.

Excellent replacement nipples for my Uberti revolvers. No back pressure or stuck caps. And they clean up easily.

I purchased these for use in my Colt Walker .44 Caliber. The ignition is cleaner and more potent than the original components. I highly recommend these to upgrade your shooting experience.

I always change out the factory nipples on any percussion guns I intend to keep (and use) for myself. After trying others, I have decided Slix Shot is the way to go. Ends 99% of any cap sucking issues. I have made them standard gear on all my own guns. I don't think you could do better. They make a damn good nipple wrench too!

These nipples are a huge improvement over the stock ones.
