First 6 shots using a Uberti 1858 Remington style revolver with Slixshot nipples and #10 caps failed to fire. Maybe operator error in seating caps. Tried again without changing anything and all six rounds fired. No caps dropped off to jam the hammer or to prevent firing when the cylinder came around which I have experienced using factory nipples. I will buy another set for my Uberti 1862 Police revolver.

Yes… caps need to be seated firmly. I hope you were using Remington #10 caps and NOT CCI #10’s. The CCI #10 caps are too small and short to be safely used.

These are 10X better than the factory nipples. I wish they had a finish other than just stainless steel as they don’t match the look of most pistols. They are so much better than the factory ones that it doesn’t prevent me from keeping them installed though.

They didn’t work well in my Pedersoli 1858 Remington. Wouldn’t set off caps by Remington, CCI or RWS reliably on first strike by hammer. Revolver has a lighter than usual spring because it’s factory match tuned. Plus the fit was so tight removing them whole and in reusable shape was a challenge. I had to use a broke screw extractor on one and it broke the tool BUT it cracked free at he same time an I got it out. The point is that these work GREAT on my other guns but didn’t on this one in particular. I have 5 good ones left and will use them if the company will sell me 1 more instead of a full set. Only reason it’s. 3 star is because of this latest experience. Otherwise it would be 5.

In the description box on the product page we have the brand of revolvers that our nipples will fit. Pedersoli revolver nipples have different tolerances and thus are NOT listed. That’s why they didn’t work.

SlixShots are worth every penny because they solve the cap jam problem….

My pietta Remington was giving me some cap jams and adding these nipples solved it.
Also got two sets for a brace of peitta Colt 1860's. The factory nipples seemed OK in these, but I desired to have these two guns as slick and reliable as they could be.
The only downside is that i now feel the need for a set on every spare cylinder too. Great product, just get them and do not look back.

These nipples are easier to clean, and more reliable than the stock nipples. Easy to install and perform as advertised.

Truly makes cleanup easier...Just let them soak for 10-15 mins covered with "moose milk' in a small bowl and they scrub clean pretty quickly. I use a pipe cleaner on the insides and voila!...Good as new.
I will buy these for any new black powder revolver I can use them on. :)

I tried the other brand of high-end nipples, which was a let down. After buying 6 sets from Slixshot, I should have known but thought I'd try the competition. These are hands down the best in this market. Thanks Slixshot for a great product.

Better fit and performance!

Had some serious issues with the nips that came with the pistol from uberti they weren’t the right size they were neither a #10 or #11 and they would miss fire constantly. Now the slix shots I have fire every time I pull the trigger and they are for sure #11 caps which are much easier to find.

Ordered these for my son's 1851 Uberti LONDON black powdered revolver. Shipping was expedient and the product delivered was exactly what was pictured and ordered. When changed out the original nipples these exceeded my expectations and really worked as advertised. Would highly recommend these nipples and will order more in the future for another revolver.
