Unfortunately, I still had frequent cap jams. I’ll take a look at the main spring.

I'm very pleased with these nipples, over the factory Uberti nipples. In my little .36 cal. Not only do they split the caps consistently, but also the taller shoulder of the flats make installation and removal check of a lot easier. And if course, they're stainless.

First off, my 1862 Pocket Police was a mess to begin with. With these cones, ignition is far greater and the chance of cap jams has significantly decreased. I still think a stronger hammer spring is needed to prevent some of the cap jams that it's experiencing.

These nipples greatly reduce jams caused by caps falling into the revolver action.

The holes on the sides of the nipples reduce pressure on the hammer and keep it from moving backwards. So the hammer holds the fired cap on the nipple.

However, if the revolver is loaded with too much powder, not enough pressure will be reduced and the hammer will not hold the spent cap on the nipple.

Smoothing the hammer striking surface with a file and stone will also help keep the fired caps on the nipples when the hammer is cocked.

These nipples are everything I'd heard they were,very well made and reliable. I'm a very satisfied customer!

So far I have only tested caps on the cones installed in the above pistol but so far all is working well.

these are the best cure for all nipple problems. I have them on all my black powder pistols. Plan on ordering more

These fit my little .31 Remington Pocket Revolver. I have these nipples on all of my BP revolvers. Since using these I have no cap jams or misfires.

I ordered these for my ASM 1851 Colt clone. I kind of knew they weren't going to fit going into it. They were too tall and when the cap was on they hit the "recoil shield" and wouldn't let the cylinder rotate. I filed them down a little so that the cylinder would rotate with the cap on but the cap was so tight that it was very difficult to get it on all the way. So, not having a lathe I chucked each nipple in my electric drill and with a file made safe on the edge, file each one down until the thickness was approximately what it was when it was originally. I fired a cap and it seemed to work. I haven't shot the revolver yet so I can't comment on the final result. Thankfully the stainless was soft enough to file. Again, the product is very well made.

These fit my 1849 Colt Pocket Pistol .31 cal. perfectly.

Perfect fit. I got these for my .31 Pocket Remington. I also have them for all of my .44 Revolvers. The Slixshot nipple wrench will fit the Pocket Revolvers.

I purchased these nips.. for an 1849 colt pocket model i had no issues installing them took me five minutes fit and finish were excellent they worked as intended i will be buying more for different BP revolver models im currently looking into ! Worth every penny!

I replaced the nipples on my 1862 police revolver and was able to use it for the first time since and I am so happy with how they work. Definitely recommend getting them and will be getting them for my 1851 army revolver

I haven't had a chance to shoot my latest set of SliXshot nipples yet. I base this latest purchase on the performance of all of my other SliXshot equipped revolvers. These nipples will greatly reduce cap jams on many of the Colt replica pistols.
