I replaced the original nipples on my Pietta 1858 NMA with Slix Shots BP nipples due to original nipples kept dropping caps (CCI & Remington). I have the same problem with an Uberti 1858 NMA. The new nipples stopped the dropped caps. I intend to replace the nipples on my Uberti next.

These solve cap fitment and jams. CCI #11 fit perfectly and no cap has fallen under the hammer or into the action, caps may get stuck behind cylinder on some guns without relief cut. Reliable ignition every time.

These nipples are a must for shooting Colt style reproductions to prevent cap jams. I am also pleased to report these nipples will fit the Colt Blackpowder Signature Series guns.

Great product. 3 of my cylinders on a Dragoon were unusable due to factory inconsistency with the nipples. Slixshot fixed that right up. Now I can load and shoot all 6 cylinders.

i was having problems with fouling of my stock nipples in a Pietta BP handgun. these nipp;es resolved the problem. snd they hold the caps on better. don"t need to pinch them to keep them from falling off now

I have only installed them in five of my guns. Weather has kept me from being out shooting. I have another set for my sixth gun but have not installed them yet as the gun is loaded. One of my guns has a very weak hammer spring. Even with the Slix nipples, I may have to add a second spring. It's a beautiful 1861 Colt navy. Like Brent Wheat says, "There is only one letter between gun and fun."

Massive improvement on cap jams

I have been using SliXshot nipples for years. They are a perfect fit, hold caps more tightly, and reduce cap jams to almost none. I have them on eight percussion revolvers, both .36 and .44. Plus the company’s service is great. The post office recently lost an insured order. Patrick Reagan responded promptly to my inquiry and sent me another set. Buy this product, use it as intended, and you won’t be disappointed!

The set of 6 percussion cap nipples appears to be solidly built. I haven't tried them yet but they do fit the 1075 RWS plus caps just fine and without falling off. I'll update my review to see if I notice a difference in the amount of misfires I had with the stock percussion cap nipples.

Visual inspection
The inside and outside diameter is slightly larger when compared to the stock ones. On the other side there's also a bigger hole bored out compared to the stock ones. I'll have to test them out but they look great and fit on the revolver without issue.

Really made a difference charge fires everytime with these musch better than the stock ones. The caps come off much easier also. Replaced them in my old Army Ruger and my 1851 Pietta. I would purchase again.

I have more than 2 dozen sets of these nipples on all my BP revolvers. They do an excellent job of keeping the dreaded cap jams to an absolute minimum. I’ve shot many monthly matches and two day matches with them. Get them and you won’t regret it.

The nipples work great so far.7 cylinders shot and no issue's.

Got this for my uberti 1858 new army I've only fired about 20ish caps through this but I definitely had less cap jams and miss fire than with the standard uberti ones.
