I had a question as what type/model to buy for an 1862 Pietta Spiller&Burr. I had my answer in one day. Had the Nipples in less than a week later. AS it turned out the 1862 Dance by Pietta was a match.

while factory nipples are ok, slixshots turn a cap and ball revolver from a range toy into a useful tool.

I change my OEM nipples for Slixshot for all my BP wheel guns. They are much more reliable with my home rolled cartridges.

There is absolutely no comparison between the factory and slix shot nipples. man are nice and work perfect!

These nipples did not solve all the problems with the Uberti Colt Walker, but they solved most of them. I can use the same number 11’s that go on my rifle, without pinching them and they stay on. The fired ones don’t get stuck under the cylinder anymore jamming it all up. Nothing will ever fix all the issues with the Walker but heck that is part of the fun of owning one, besides being able to burn 50 grains of 3F behind a 200 gr Conical Bullet.

The slixshot nipples greatly reduced the jamming I used to get from pieces of percussion cap after firing. Now I rarely have an issue. This product is Worth every penny. Makes shooting much more enjoyable.

These nipples are perfect for my Pieta 1858 Remington new army. Fast shipping and excellent customer service is an added plus.

I bought the Slixpings nipples for a better fit and design the Italian nipples don't fit CCI or Remington percussion caps very good.

Worked good on my older model and allowed that I could use both Remington #10 caps and CCI #11!

I put slix shot nipples on my navy and on my remingtom (pietta's). I loaded and test fired the navy and while I hade no cap jams I did notice the it was hard to cock,like some thing was dragging. Hopefully this is an issue that can be corrected bu using different caps. I haven't test fired the remington but I did load it and it seems to function fine.

I have heard about these for years and finally decided to give them a try for two revolvers I have. I'll be getting more for other revolvers I have in the future!

I have purchased Slixshot replacement nipples for several versions of my Pietta replica pistols and for both of my Uberti 1849 pocket pistols. It appears to me that the Slixshot have been engineered to accept #11 CCI percussion caps, which are the only size cap I can find these days. There is no longer an issue with caps falling off the nipples after seating on any of the pistols that I have installed Slixshot nipples on. The "cap sucking" problem has been rectified by modification of the hammer face, and is not connected to the problem of loose fitting caps that the new Slixshot nipples has cured.

The slixshot is a huge improvement over the nipples/cones that come stock on the revolvers. No jams ever for me. Stainless steel so no rust issues. Larger diameter opening to get spark to the powder gives a sure ignition.

The spent caps stuff off on rotation preventing any jams. Good purchase to give you better shooting performance.

Ordered a set and did not fit. they were very helpful to get the right size. Great service.

These are great they fit, caps stay on would buy them again

I ordered a set of these nipples for an old (40 year old) Pieta .36 Navy and a new .44 Army since received wisdom is that these make cap and ball revolvers of this ilk foolproof. I have yet to pick them up post restante in California, but I do not doubt that they will be superior to the steel models I am using.

I was somewhat pleased until one of them broke off at the threads in my walker cylinder. That would it up for me. I took the rest out and threw them in the trash, then put factories back in. I won't try any more oranything else. It's a shame. I was impressed with the service which is well above average for this day and time

I've played with black powder guns for 50 years and the Slixprings stainless nipples for my Confederate collection of single action reproduction revolvers are simply second to none. I could not be happier with Slixsprings stainless nipples.

Bought two more sets of Peitta nipples for my spare 1860 cylinders, and received them in three days.
Ive got slixshots on nearly all of my growing arsenal of C+B wheelguns, and thought the factory nipples are often pretty good, these are excellent and often turn a gun from an amusing toy that's fun to shoot between cap jams to a machine that properly spits lead and smoke, and is nearly cartridge gun reliable.

I have these on 3 of my 4 BP revolvers and can't say enough good things about them. They definitely help with the cap sucking.
