Colt walkers can have quite a bit of blowback, but the excellent design of these tubes really reduces the pressure on the spent cap. Combined with a suitably polished hammer face, these tubes greatly reduce cap jams. I have them on both my [BC] Uberti Walkers.

Do yourself a favor and put these on your revolver. They fit caps like a glove,easy to clean to look like new,and of course,nearly eliminate cap jams. I'm sold on these.

I have used these in the past and the Slixprings nipples I bought for my Uberti 1861 work perfectly. I used #11 CCI Magnum caps and had no cap jams at all.

The factory nipples of my Uberti 1858 Remington worked fine with #10 caps. Except for the occasional cap loss after firing with the cap of course falling on the hammer. #11 caps were too loose to be useful at all.

The SliXshot nipples are slightly larger in diameter at the rear and with less body taper. Both #10 and #11 caps fit snuggly. Fired caps do occasionally fall off the nipple but not until the cylinder is being rotated. Meaning the offending cap slides down off the side of the firearm and not into the action. Causing no problems.

Black powder, percussion caps, and loading levers are obsolete for a reason. We shoot these firearms for nostalgia, the boom, and the white smoke. I have a modern semiauto handgun with well over 10,000 rounds through it without a hiccup. Even with SliXshot nipples, you have to expect a hitch now and then with these period pieces.

I have four sets of SliXshot now and just ordered a fifth. I use them in two 1851 Navy, a 1858 Remington, an extra cylinder and ordered for a 1860 Army. They work perfectly. I’ve had no cap jams.

I got a pack for my Pietta Lemat and they work great. The shotgun barrel still doesn't like going off, but it was like that to begin with, so I think its a design fault. These also work perfectly with the Prime All #11 caps you can make yourself. I am very happy with everything about this product.

They prevent caps from falling in the lock work. Everyone needs these!

So far I have purchased nipples for a pieta made colt army snub nose revolver, a pieta made army and a uberti made colt walker in every case the slixpring nipples are order of magnitudes better than what came with the pistols. I would guess they have lessened cap reason failure to fires by 50 to 60 % better. I believe they are well worth the purchase.

These new nipples worked great compared to the stock nipples that came from uberti and pieta they stay on until your are ready to fire .
I recommend getting some if u own a uberti or pieta replica they really cut down on miss fires

i have 5 black powder revolvers 1 ruger old army.2 piettas 1, 1858nma 1 1851 navy, 2 ubertis 1 1860 army, 1 3rd model dragoon. i switched them all 2 slixshot nipples. haven't fired any yet, so?

Look great and fit perfectly in two Uberti revolvers, an 1851 and an 1861. Hopefully, someday soon, I’ll be able to acquire a couple of tins of caps and FFFG so I can use them.

Easy to clear spent caps. Usually just a cylinder spin and they all fly off cleanly. Highly recommend!

These are great have had not issues since started using them. Had issues with my factory ones and other aftermarket ones.

I have 4 Black Powder pistols.I have installed on all 4. I was mindful of measuring the over all height of original and Slix Shot ones. The SS seem to be about .020 shorter on most guns. And they also fit well with CCI #10 and RWS 1075. Have not tried CCI#11.

We don’t recommend using CCI #10 Caps as their internal diameter is smaller than others and won’t sit far enough down on the nipple to cover the side vents properly.
