I have a Uberti 1851 Navy. I hadn't fired it in many years. When I did take it out of the safe, I found a couple of issues. After learning about it and taking it apart, I found that the spring was broken on the hand assembly and a spent cap was stuck in the action. I put in a new hand assembly and installed these nipples. I am very satisfied with their performance.

I’ve replaced the factory nipples with SLIXshot nipples on all my guns. These nipples have all but prevented cap-jams. In addition, they improve ignition, which makes firing the black powder guns all the more fun and dependable. I highly recommend purchasing this great product!

Shooting black powder revolvers the caps seem to cause some interesting interferences. A friend mentioned that Slixshot nipples would help. So went online and ordered a set for the repro 1851 navy. They made a positive difference. Have purchase a set for all the repro revolvers. Would recommend.

I purchased 3 sets of SliXshot Black Powder Nipples. A set for my 1861 Colt Navy .36 cal and sets for my Remington 1858 New Army .44's. They work well with CCI # 11 percussion caps. So far i have had no cylinder jams I am pleased with the product

Easy to install. Shot about 50 rnds in one session. Absolutely no cap jams. Caps (rws 1075) seemed to fly away with every hammer cock. 1 out of 50 did not fly away, but didn't cause a jam either. I say they work as advertised. 1858 rem.

Easy to install and no hang ups from spent caps jamming up the cylinder. The two small holes on each side allow gas to escape through them loosing the caps so that when you pull the hammer back spent caps usually fall out easily. I use #11 caps. Haven't found #10 anywhere. #11 works perfectly, sit tight. Also like the larger chamber in the slixprings,better for the caps to ignite powder. Easier to clean. I bought the Slixprings wrench with the nipples. I'm glad I did, not only made very well with good steel it works great getting orginal nipples off from my Pietta New Army 44cal. I installed the Slixprings on my Uberti 44cal Dragoon 3rd gen
