Installed these on my Pietta 1851 Navy and they give excellent, jam free, function with RWS 1075 percussion caps.

They work great, better ignition.

I have purchased SlixShot nipples for both of my “cap and ball” revolvers and they work perfectly and really cut down on cap jams 99% of the time. I shot 10 cylinders (60 shots) with only one cap jam and that may have been my fault. I highly recommend them. I have also read reviews about their nipple wrenches and how great they are. I put off getting them while my shooting buddy kept telling me to get them. I did, now i have 4 sets for my 51 pietta 36, 4 cylinders, don't like to load at the range. Have not had a cap jam since.

Finally got to shoot without any misfires. Would recommend to everyone shooting black powder!

Overall reduced cap problems by about half. I still had a few rws caps stick and require gently prying to remove, but a definite improvement. I didn't ever have ignition problems before but these larger holes seemed to provide faster ignition of powder too. Stainless is a good improvement. Be sure to use a grease when installing to prevent sticking.

This is my 3rd set of black powder nipples. Fully pleased with the form, fit, and function. Work great with all #11 caps. No issue with caps falling off. No issues with ignition. Absolutely recommend these over stock pistol nipples!!

The solution to the percussion camp shortage. Slixshot BP Nipples are designed to enhance the performance of percussion caps whether using #10 or #11s. I found them to reduce ignition failures on my 1858 Remington New Army revolver by over 50%. I'll be replacing all of my original equipment with Slixshot nipples in the near future.

Great Product from a veteran owned business

I recently purchased a set of SliXshot Nipples for my Uberti Colt Walker & Dragoon and my Pietta 1860 Army revolvers.

I have only fired the Dragoon using these nipples and I have about 48 rounds through it. I encountered no problems with these nipples and am already considering buying another set of nipples so I do not have to rotate them between the Dragoon and the Colt Walker.

Only the expense will prohibit me from switching over to all my other Pietta black powder revolvers.

I was having some issues with the percussion caps on my Pietta 1851 Navy revolver. The Slixshot nipples solved my issues. They are a five star product!

Work better that the ones that came with the pistol, but still do have some hang-ups when fired. I believe that may be b/c the nipples are #11’s. Size #10’s would probably be better, but can not find them to purchase.

The recommended caps to use with our nipples is clearly stated on the website product page in the Description box and on the product packaging the nipples are shipped in. We also have this listed on the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. If using the recommended caps most of the “hang-ups” will not happen or at least be drastically reduced.

These black powder nipples are genius, after using them on my 1860 Pietta I now put them on all my black powder revolvers. When I buy a black powder revolver, I automatically buy the sliXshot nipples to replace the original ones.

So far, two cylinders and not one hangfire or misfire.

The nippples fit well on the Pietta 1858 Remington 44 cal.

I always had problems with factory nipples, especially caps coming off, these Slix nipples made a big difference. Glad I got them for my 1861 Army and 1858 Army revolvers
