Bought these for several BP revolvers, rarely a stuck or cap jam.

I recently purchased a Uberti 2nd Model Dragon and found that the between cap jams and caps not firing on the first pull, I was not getting the full functioning of the gun. Fast forward to my getting a set of nipples and wrench in the mail from Slixshot and I had the new nipples on the gun in a few minutes. Long story short, I am not having any of the former issues now... The side vent on each nipple is effectively rupturing the caps and they fall off just as they are supposed to. Only one cap jam so far.. All smiles here!! Great product and just what the revolver Dr. ordered.

I had ordered what I thought was the correct nipple, but the thread size was different. I called and left a message. I received a call back promptly. I sent the new nipples back along with one of mine. Within a week I received the correct nipples, and they work great. No more caps falling off and a much better ignition of the charge. Thank You

This is my third set, they worked very well on my (Pietta) 1860 army so bought a set for a (Pietta) 1851 navy, again they worked well, so got a set for my (Uberti) 1849 pocket model. Good fit and function with all three.

This is my second review of the Slixsprings Black Powder Nipple product, and it continues to work as advertised. I recently used them during a black powder night shoot and there were non of the fail to ignite problems I had with the factory nipples. I've added another set to my Christmas list for Santa.

Thanks for the uncommonly good customer service, helping to determine the proper thread pitch for my cylinder. The original manufacturer is out of business and Slixsprings went out of their way to help determine the correct product. The issues and shipping were clearly communicated throughout the process, better than most companies I deal with. It was greatly appreciated.

I think one vent hole would not break up the caps in so many peaces and would roll around and fall out the side cleaner.

A single vent hole actually creates problems and makes the spent caps uneven. If you are using the proper caps as recommended and they are pressed on firmly along with a properly tuned revolver they work extremely well.

Since I been using slixshot nipples my cap jams in my Colts has pretty much stopped.

I have two cap n ball revolver replicas. A Colt and a Remington. Both had difficulties with cap jams and I spoke to Patrick about the best replacements for these guns to help with the problem. Quick and sharp replies, accurate advice, I got a set for each gun and on the next couple of outings was pleased to see they operate as advertised. Cap jams are no longer a thing and these slixsprings nipples are much easier to fit caps on as well. Highly recommend!

These are the way to go if you what to spend you time shooting and not fighting caps getting stuck and not firing.

always the best nipples; even better now that they take several types of caps. some aftermarket nipples need to be checked for burrs. not these!

They are installed, have not begun to sight in revolver yet.

Have an old replica arms. 1861 Colt not only did the staff help me figure out that the Uberti nipples would work but they are flawless. Stopping cracked caps and caps sliding into the frame would highly recommend

These nipples installed easily, and have a larger opening that allows for maximum spark for black powder paper cartridge loads.

I have these cones on two revolvers and they work better than what comes with the guns.
My only problem is, I lost one of the cones. So on one cylinder I have one factory and 5 slix cones.
A real bumber.

Just as Pat promised, no more cylinder jams. sticking percussion caps a thing of the past. one thru ten rating I surely give them a fifteen. From California.

Work great with #11 mag, don't hwve any #10 to try. Using on pietta 1860.

So far I’ve had 100% reliable cap fires. Absolutely 0 cap jams. These work as advertised in Pietta revolvers including the pocket Remington

I have not used them yet but they look very well made. The wrench fits nice and solid on the nipples.

Got these to replace the factory ones, have shot yet but now don't worry about primers as there the same as my rifle.

Improved ignition reliability in black powder revolvers. Quicker clean up with ultrasonic. A MUST HAVE for frequent shooters.

They work great. No more cap jams or misfires. Makes my undependable, frustrating black powder pistols shoot like champs. I now actually have as much fun with them as I do modern firearms.
