1. Verify the Firearm Is Unloaded
Point the firearm in a safe direction. Remove all ammunition, open the action, and visually and physically confirm that the chamber, magazine, cylinder, and action are empty as applicable.
Remove all live ammunition from the work area before proceeding.
2. Disassemble the Action
Disassemble the firearm according to the manufacturer's instructions until the trigger assembly, mounting pins, springs, and related components are accessible.
Keep removed screws, pins, springs, and other parts organized so they can be returned to their correct locations.
3. Remove the Factory Trigger Components
Support the action securely on a bench block or other protected work surface.
Carefully remove the appropriate trigger pin, spring, trigger, and related factory components. Note their orientation and placement before removal.
Control spring tension during removal so small parts do not move unexpectedly.
4. Clean and Inspect the Trigger Area
Clean the trigger housing and remove dirt, fouling, dried lubricant, metal fragments, and other debris.
Inspect the trigger pin, mounting holes, springs, hammer, sear, safety components, and surrounding action parts for damage, bending, unusual wear, or previous modification.
Replace damaged components before continuing.
5. Check the SliXprings Trigger Component
Confirm that the replacement component is correct for the firearm model.
Compare its general shape, pin location, spring contact points, and mounting features with the original component before installation.
Do not install a component that appears damaged, incompatible, or substantially different from the original part.
6. Install the SliXprings Trigger Component
Position the SliXprings trigger component in the correct orientation.
Align the trigger with its mounting hole and reinstall the appropriate spring, pin, and related hardware.
Do not force a pin through a misaligned trigger or frame opening. Correct the alignment before continuing.
7. Check Trigger Movement and Alignment
Before completing reassembly, move the trigger carefully through its normal range.
Confirm that it moves freely, returns correctly, and does not scrape, catch, or bind against the frame or adjacent action components.
Confirm that springs remain correctly positioned and that all pins are fully seated.
8. Reassemble the Firearm
Reassemble the firearm according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Confirm that all screws, pins, springs, side plates, grips, and internal action components are correctly positioned and securely installed.
9. Perform an Unloaded Function Test
Keep the firearm completely unloaded throughout testing. Follow the firearm manufacturer's approved function-check procedure.
Confirm smooth trigger movement, positive trigger reset, secure hammer or sear engagement, correct safety operation, and freedom from binding or unintended movement.
