I had a stuck steel magazine tube cap screw in my Uberti 1866. This tool allowed me to remove the stuck cap, but I still ruined the slot in the cap. Luckily, I had also ordered the Slixsprings brass replacement mag tube cap screw which looks great

Fits the slot on the cap perfectly, either along the axis or perpendicular to it. A necessary tool for maintaining this rifle without munging up the cap slot. Mine had been on for over a decade - perhaps since built - and it would have been impossible to get it off without a special tool like this.

These magazine tools always work great and they keep you from buggering up the end cap.

Wrench blades for Magazine cap were too shallow and one broke off after a couple of uses. The Firing pin wrench was supposed to fit "most" stoeger SxS models but does not fit my 20 gauge coach gun. The magazine wrench has two sections so its still usable but not ideal....not very happy with this tool. Buyer beware

As with any tool if it’s used beyond what it’s designed for or used improperly it can break. As all of our products carry a warranty we mailed this customer a replacement wrench. We have multiples of this tool - one for each cleaning kit (home, travel), one for the gun cart (that gets used by others too), and at least one extra when the tool is misplaced. It's the best way to get the mag cap off/on.

I have a mix of endcaps on my rifles. With this tool there is not a one that I cannot open. My one suggestion, which is not very reasonable, is to have a storage space to store the bit. This would keep the two important pieces together in my 'possibles' bag.

It became apparent to me that I needed to disassemble the mag spring and follower from my Uberti 1873 Winchester. I was a little apprehensive about the function of this tool, because my rifle hadn't been taken apart since new in 1984!! This tool worked slick and I was able to clean out my mag tube and follower.

When I received the wrench, I was hoping it would have enough torque to break through the screw installed by the Uberti gorilla but still had issues. Did internet search on removing the tube cap (Pioneer Gun Works) and in a few seconds had it off. This wrench fits perfectly on the caps, used it on 73 and 76 Uberti. Haven't tried it on my Stoeger yet. Very well made item.

Perfect for removing the cap screw. Doesn’t look like much but it is! Easy easy easy. Fits great, no slip or rounding the slot. Pin end is great for removing the bushing on my stoeger firing pins.

I purchased it mainly for the magazine cap screw on an 1873 Uberti. The cap was very tight from the factory but the tool did not slip at all and I was able the remove the cap without issue.

I recently started SASS. I ordered stuff including the "SliX Slot II Magazine Cap Screw Wrench". I bought that because it looked nice and thought it would come in handy. IT DID!!!! I had an issue where I needed to remove the cap, which was VERY snug, and it worked GREAT!!

Worked like a charm on my Stoeger uplander.

The best. My Uberti 1873 Magazine Cap was screwed down so tight from the factory, that the magazine tube end started roll inward on it's self. This was the only tool that could loosen it.

I always like having the right tool for the job. This one works!
